The Blue Emperor Tetra can grow to be about 1.5" long including the tail. They are active and quarrel with each other, but rarely do much harm. Recommended tank mates for Blue Emperor Tetras include small fish like Guppies, Platys, Corydoras Catfish, and Gouramis. They are most comfortable at about 75 to 78 degrees F with a pH of about 7 with moderate hardness. It is best to house the Blue Emperor Tetra in at least a 20-gallon tank, but more is better, because they quarrel with each other.
