The Fiji Blue Damselfish can grow to be over 2in. from snout to tail. It is bright blue in color; the male has a yellow snout and tail, and the female and juvenile usually lack yellow but have a black spot at the base of the back edge of the dorsal fin. The fish inhabits reefs and lagoons. Its diet includes algae, tunicates, and copepods. Male and female pair up for breeding, and the male guards and tends the eggs. This genus contains some of the most beautiful and brightly colored damselfish, as well as some of the smallest. Fiji Blue Devil Damselfish, is blue with a yellow belly. It is considered aggressive and should not be mixed with its own species or passive fish. It does better with larger fish in aquariums 30 gallons or larger. Fiji Blue Devil Damselfish, is also known as the South Seas Devil Damselfish or Village Belle. The South Seas Devil Damselfish feeds on a variety of meaty items, herbivore preparations, and flaked foods.

Habitat: The Fiji Blue Devil is found in tropical parts of the Western Pacific, from the Coral Sea to the Great Barrier Reef, New Caledonia, the Loyalty Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji and Samoa. Provide it with plenty of hiding places. Keep the water parameters as follows: pH 8.1 to 8.4, specific gravity 1.019 to 1.025 and water temperature of 74 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
