Poecilia wingei, known to aquarists as the Endler's livebearer, in the genus Poecilia, is a small fish native to the Paria Peninsula in Venezuela. They are proficient breeders and often hybridize with guppies. These very colorful hybrids are the easiest to find being offered in pet-shops, typically under the name Endler's Guppy. Cobra Endlers Livebearer ancestors originally lived in Venezuela, but now they're are found in aquariums throughout the world. In aquariums Male Cobra Endlers can grow to be 1" long, including their tails. Most Male Endlers are active swimmers and are not aggressive, but do quarrel with each other. Recommended tank mates for Cobra Endlers include other Endlers, Rainbowfish, Danios, Aquarium Shrimp, small Gouramis, and many other small to medium size aquarium fish. Male Endlers are most comfortable at about 74 degrees F with a Ph of 7 with moderate hardness. It is best to house male Cobra Endlers Livebearers in at least a 20-gallon tank, but bigger is always better.
